Tyler Paul Smith is a native and lifelong resident of Cashtown Road, Bremen, Haralson County, Georgia where he lives on his family's 160 plus year-old farm with his wife Shannon. Tyler Paul graduated from Bremen High School in 2009 and earned his Undergraduate Degree in Political Science in 2013 from The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina. He returned to Georgia after graduation where he earned his Law Degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in May of 2016. Tyler Paul was elected to the Georgia State House of Representatives in 2020 for State House District 18 encompassing Haralson, rural north and west Carroll County, and Southwest Paulding Counties. He serves as Chairman on the Judiciary Non-Civil Committee. He is also a member of the Insurance, Judiciary, and Small Business Development Committees. During law school he worked as a Legislative Aide to several State House Representatives from the local West Georgia, North-East Georgia and South Georgia areas, where he provided policy insight and advice on various legislative changes to the laws of the State of Georgia during three legislative sessions. His practice areas include, among others, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Landlord-Tenant law.
